Credit Reports and Monitoring Subscription Products


Perform[cb] does not allow the following elements on any claims relating to credit report and monitoring products:


  • Failing to clearly and prominently disclose that the offer is for a subscription service, other material terms (including rebill terms) will apply, users will be charged at the expiration of a trial period unless they cancel and users should see the destination site for further details.  
  • Failing to clearly and prominently disclose the material terms of an offer which you promote using the word “Free” including that the offer is for a subscription service, other material terms (including rebill terms) will apply, users will be charged at the expiration of a trial period unless they cancel and users should see the destination site for further details. 
  • Utilizing traffic sources, sites, use keywords, or pop traffic off of any government, government assistance, government affiliated websites, or sites consumers would reasonably believe pertain to any type of government benefits or assistance.  
  • Use, purchase, acquire or utilize any pay-per-click, contextual, copy, search or any other marketing utilizing the terms “Free Credit Report”, “Annual Credit Report,” “annual report,” “annual credit,” “FACT Act,” “FICO”, or any other terms or misspellings of these, or any term that claims or infers, that the offer is associated with the annualcreditreport.com site. 
  • Use any fonts, looks, or other stylistic elements of pop up ads that create the impression that the advertisement is related to the website over which the advertisement is displayed. 
  • Use for any purpose any trademarks, logos or other branding elements in pop up ads of the website over which the advertisement is displayed.  
  • Use for any purpose any trademarks, logos or other branding elements of any credit bureau.  



What happens if I violate this policy?

  • Ad denial: Ads that don't follow this policy may get denied. A denied ad won't be able to run until the policy violation is fixed and the ad is approved.
  • Domain disabling: We may suspend websites that violate this policy, meaning that the website can no longer be advertised with Perform[cb] until the problem is fixed.
  • Account suspension: An account may get suspended if you have several violations or a serious violation. If this happens, all ads in the suspended account will stop running, and we may no longer accept advertising from you. Any related accounts may also get permanently suspended and your new accounts may get automatically suspended at setup.
